Great restaurant. Always visit here when in area. Never disappointed. Warmly greeted by staff. Lovely choice of menu - all at reasonable prices. Superb efficient friendly service. Served very quickly. Husband had their own famous beefsteak pie - just superb. I had the special - chicken in a leek sauce wrapped in bacon - really nice. Generous portions & lots of veg. Yummy Banoffee Pie & Special cheesecake - raspberry & white chocolate- both served with lots of cream. Finished off with very nice lattees. All staff very nice but a special mention to Danielle who mostly attended to us. Lovely experience - definitely highly recommend- looking forward to our next visit. Thank you.

Station Hotel Carnoustie offers excellent food options. I had steak pie, chips and veg. Hearty meal. Fish and chips and smokie dish available. Wholesome food. Great service.Did not stay in rooms, so cannot review that.

We stayed in Carnoustie for a night and this restaurant was recommended by our host as a good place to eat. The hotel/restaurant is located in a great place within walking distance of the beach and town. The restaurant was extremely busy for a week night so booking in advance is highly recommended. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Great choice of drinks both hot or cold. The food is generally pub grub, generous portions and very tasty!

Nice hotel, staff were excellent but room a bit tired, had food one of the nights it was ok and was very busy for a Monday so locals seem to like it, nice to see Carnoustie again

Thinnest loo paper in two months and WiFi signal kept dropping for 10 hours plus
Mira shower takes a full five minutes to heat up. There we a pube on the empty shower gel dispenser in the shower and has been there the entire duration of our three night stay.
The extractor fan didn't work which was rather unpleasant.
Window view is of the sea, at an angle, but otherwise overlooked by the pedestrians and barfly's spilling onto the pavement, room 5 is particularly noisy in hearing the bar through the door.
The idling vans at the level crossing is annoying too.
Full breakfast is indeed filling, no need for lunch or dinner. Oily pool on the plate from the frying on the first morning. Fried eggs sunnyside down were brilliantly done. The poached eggs were cooked in semicircular moulds. The scrambled eggs were batch made and you can almost see the laddle marks. The beans were good. The bacon was fine. The sausages on the final morning are grissly. The cold smoked ham breakfast is just six large sliced of ham, each the side of the dinner plate, nothing else with it.
Coffee seems to be instant.
Great hot seeded toast. Sausages not as flavourful as elsewhere, had a fair amount of hard gritty bits in the final morning.
Dusty closet, don't place clothes on the shelf.
BBC News didn't work on the TV and you need hold the remote high.
Just black tea and instant coffee in the room. Toiletries and biscuits were fine. Strawberries and raspberries were fine for breakfast although we found the yoghurts warm.
House keeper was surprised we were staying on, wondered if we wanted towels changing etc, we said we didn't but after breakfast she changed everything, even unused towels.
We repeated the following morning to not replace towels but she did again.
The Corner Hotel dinners were about half the price and tasty enough and slight variation on beers.
Staff were pleasant and the decor nice. The half empty car park was full on the weekend
Shame the TV couldn't be unplugged to avoid the standby light

What a lovely friendly hotel, from a long journey on the road for work purposes. The room is spacious and plenty of coffee or tea on offer with two mini packets of biscuits which were soon gone 😁. The shower a bit small but not an issue. I decided to go for the special of the day in the pub restaurant, beef chilli and rice , best chilli I've had in ages. The bar staff and hotel manager very friendly and cracked a few jokes. Personally I would upgrade this place to 4 star.

We had a bar meal at the Station Hotel midweek. It was fairly busy but still had a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The menu is quite small but has a good variety of meals to choose from. The food we had was excellent. The portion sizes were generous and great quality. Very good service that was fast and efficient and reasonable prices. I recommend this place for a meal and would advise booking a table during busy times.

Staff were great. Near the beach. Great breakfast. Lovely old building, very clean and comfortable. Only downsides were the sound from trains, small room, and the food was a bit pricey but these things did not really massively affect us. Well worth the money and would happily stay again.

THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE! My mother, and I were in our room and at about 12am a man in nothing but underwear had a key to our room, unlocked our door and came into our room!!! Lucky he saw it was two of us and we were awake yelling “wrong room sir this is the wrong room” and he backed out of our room we shut the door. He was claiming to have been locked out of his room but, a moment later when he returned and knocked on our door he was in different underwear (changed from whitey tighteys to blue boxers with pineapples) and told us he was not the same man that came into our room but he was and was asking us to come next door to his room to help him get in. Then a man I assume to be the manager came around the corner telling us it was impossible that anyone had been in our room and that the only key to our room besides the ones we had was the master key in his pocket he said “I’m not saying you are lying but that just didn’t happen”. The next morning we went to check out and the older lady I assume is the owner was there. I decided to inform her of the situation because frankly it’s the worst experience I have ever had in any country. And guest safety should be top priority for her. She assured me that HER SON (the guy with the master key) had already informed her and she continued to tell us that never happened and it was impossible for anyone to make a copy of the key and it was impossible that anyone had the master key besides her son. And if that is the case then her son is helping people break into rooms!!!! Or someone definitely has a key to room number 18!!!! So PLEASE BE CAREFUL! I added a picture of a review from someone who was given a key to a room already occupied so that proves there are more than one key to these rooms.

Food is not what it use to be. Everyone at the table agreed and was not impressed with the food. Pastry on steak pie horrendous and once cut it was just over cooked crumbs.

Very clean rooms, lovely staff, good location, as it is located next to a beach great for a morning walk, food was superb, I recommend the curry is was amazing.

Great location for playing golf at Carnoustie or walking the Angus Coastal Path. The Hotel, as per the name, is literally on the platform of the train station and the noise of the trains is regular from 6am to 11pm. The single room was small, but had everything you needed. The ensuite was clean, but the shower was tempramental in terms of water temperature. Food was good. Not a huge menu, but I did like the fact that you could eat in the public bar. Staff were great. Parking spaces were plentiful and free. Good value option.

Dropped in floor drinks and a bar meal on a Friday night. Service was very good and friendly. Quite a nice atmosphere, although a lot of the decor is basic and dull. The whole experience was, however, badly let down by the quality of the food. Overcooked vegetables, soggy chips and bland tastes all round. Far from cheap either and the menu was deeply uninspiring. Not worth the money unfortunately.
